IzhSTU is a dynamically developing scientific and educational system aimed at the highest world-class results. The educational process is conducted by more than 800 teachers, at 12 faculties of IzhSTU and its branches more than 22000 students and post-graduate students study. Engineers are trained in 65 specialties, bachelors in 48 directions, masters in 37 directions. High level of students' training is conditioned by the presence of highly qualified teachers and scientists, the number of which is 105 doctors and professors; 396 candidates of sciences and associate professors. There are 61 departments; 7 dissertational councils. The university has branches in the cities of Udmurtia and the Perm Territory - Votkinsk, Sarapul, Tchaikovsky, Glazov, Kambarka.
